Costa Rica: How Did It Go?

Hello! It’s been a minute for sure!

I’m back after almost 5 months. Whoops! Okay, it was really hard to blog because so much went on… and I got behind a lot.

My Spanish increased a ton! I went there with less Spanish than I thought I knew and I was really nervous about what my next 2 months were going to be like.

I went on 5 weekend excursions of the 7 weekends I was there. San Jose, Costa Rica, Bocas del Toro, Panamá, Hacienda Guachipelin, Limón, Costa Rica, and Granada, Nicaragua.

I stayed with 2 host families. Both of which I loved for different reasons, and met many new people who I still keep in touch with. I have a ton of pictures I could attach here. I will just pick my top 5 and explain what was going on.

This photo was taken in San José after the coffee tour. It was a really cool moment I’m glad I got to capture it on camera. This was my first time ziplining at Hacienda Guachipelin in Costa Rica. It was so fun!

I was in Panamá for this picture. On our first day. It was so cool because we were at a really nice beach.

A friend took this photo on my last Thursday at EF. I had never read the sign before, but I’m glad I got a picture with it.

I was in Granada, Nicaragua for this picture. I wanted a picture on the gazebo but it was closed off so I settled for this. It all worked out in the end. Plus, Granada was amazing because we stayed at a chocolate hotel and I got a chocolate facial.

What am I doing now?

I am taking a little break from Spanish and I am working on French and Latin now. I am looking forward to my next trip to New York, and even more to my trip to Cabo San Lucas. I am also practicing calligraphy as I plan to be a teacher and need really good handwriting. Also because I really enjoy travel instagramming and would love a Polaroid and to write a quote reminding me of that trip in nice handwriting.

Here is my latest creation for my sister Natalie.

Faith, Trust, & Pixie Dust.
